Decolonial/Community-Engaged/Healing Centered Consultation for designers and organizations interested in research-based interventions informed by my competencies in decolonial design, racialized-trauma, community engaged architecture/interiors, and environmentally healthy materials.

Decolonial design consultations for purpose driven, justice-centered or community- engaged projects to help individuals and organizations take the next immediate step towards the change they wish to see within the world

This solutions-focused service is informed by my over a decades long work in decolonial design, and my experiences with trauma-informed community engaged work, as well as training in healthy materials and somatic abolitionist/racialised trauma work

I support the creation of your project’s research needs, concept design, community-engaged data collection, planning and implementation

CREATIVE/DESIGN Coaching

  • We work with principles found in many personal transformation philosophies and modalities to explore the challenge/opportunity in your current creative block, question, puzzle, or problem. You dictate the frameworks that I will use to support you on your journey and can choose from conceptual modes such as Internal Family Systems/parts work, astrology, or spiritual and indigenous cosmologies relevant to you as the foundation for our work together. Where relevant these approaches will be combined with critical design, community-centered and culturally-informed design processes to support you in value-oriented creative confidence

  • Description This service will be especially effective for those who have done therapeutic work in the past or are currently supported by a therapist/counselour and understand that their internal/personal states + intersections influence their design outcomes

  • Your intake coaching session where we discuss your need is 165$ . After that each session is $150 for a one hour session and includes followup notes and email correspondence.

    Donated coaching slots will be announced on my instagram (mukhtarayusuf) as they become available.

Design + Creative Coaching for artist, designers, and researchers who want inside-out approaches which will address their personal development + project goals simultaneously (this is also a great option for students looking for support with their projects)

This service is a good option for those interested in centering principles of personal transformation in their creative/design work or research

Please note, this is not a therapy service though psychotherapeutic texts and concepts are referred
